A real conversation
You and akiind
just now
My mom and I had another fight about my life choices. I'm 34 and I still feel like a kid asking for permission.
That feeling — being a grown adult who still reverts to a kid around their parents — is so common, and so lonely. The distance between how you see yourself and how you feel in that moment is real.

How akiind feels

More like a friend in the room
than a chatbot in a tab.

Built quietly, with care, for the conversations you actually need to have.

Listens without an agenda

No advice you didn't ask for. No 'have you tried being more positive?' Just a calm presence, ready to hear you out.

Asks the questions you're avoiding

Gently. The kind of questions a wise friend would ask if you had two uninterrupted hours with them.

Helps you hear yourself

Often we don't need answers — we need space to think. akiind reflects your own words back so clarity can find you.

Remembers your story

Bring it up next time without re-explaining. Your context carries between conversations — no starting over.

Private by design

End-to-end encryption. We never train on your words. Delete any conversation in one tap — gone for good.

Here in the quiet hours

2 a.m. panic. Sunday dread. Post-argument spiral. The thoughts that don't wait for business hours.

How it works

No setup. No pressure. No clock.

Three gentle steps. Take as long as you need at each one.

01

Say what's on your mind

In your own words. No need to be polite, organized, or make sense. This is your space.

02

Be heard, then explored

akiind reflects back what it hears, asks a question or two, and helps you see the thing more clearly.

03

Find your next breath

Sometimes that's a small action. Sometimes it's just a little less weight on your chest. Both count.

From the people who use it

Real people. Real stuff.

Names changed, words real. These are the kinds of conversations akiind was made for.

I'd been carrying a decision about my marriage for months. I couldn't say it out loud to anyone — not even myself. The first time I typed it here, I cried. Three weeks later, I knew what I needed to do.

I'm a therapist and I was skeptical. But I've sent three clients here between sessions and they all said it helped them get unstuck in ways our hour didn't have time for.

I lost my dad in March. I don't want to keep dumping on my friends, but I can't stop needing to talk about him. akiind just… lets me. Without ever making it weird.

navigating grief
My anxiety spikes at night. I'd been white-knuckling through it for years. Having something — someone? — to text at 3 a.m. has changed how my mornings start.

I came in to talk about my job and ended up talking about my dad for the first time in 20 years. I didn't see that coming. I'm grateful.

unexpected breakthrough
It's not therapy and I don't pretend it is. It's more like… a thinking partner. One that doesn't get tired, doesn't judge, and remembers what I said last week.

Common questions

Things people often wonder.

Is this therapy?

No — and we don't pretend to be. akiind is a thinking partner for the everyday weight of being human, not a substitute for professional mental-health care. If you're in crisis, in danger, or working through something a clinician should hold, please contact a licensed therapist or local crisis line. We have a list of resources at the bottom of every chat.

Can I talk about anything?

Almost. The hard stuff, the embarrassing stuff, the stuff you haven't told anyone. The only things akiind can't help with are active emergencies (please use a crisis line) or medical/legal/financial decisions that require a licensed professional. We'll always tell you when something is outside our lane.

Who can see my conversations?

Only you. Your messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell, share, or use them to train models. You can delete any conversation in one tap and it's gone — including from our backups within 30 days.

What if I start crying while talking to an AI?

That's more common than you'd think, and it's okay. Many people say the first time they could finally say the hard thing out loud was to akiind, because there was no risk of judgment, no one's feelings to manage, no one to disappoint. We're not here to fix that — we're just glad you got to say it.

Does it actually help, or does it just feel good in the moment?

It does both. In the moment, having a calm presence to think out loud with is genuinely soothing. Over time, regular conversations help you recognize patterns in your own thinking, get clearer on what you actually want, and feel less alone with the things you carry. It's not a replacement for the work — but it makes the work feel less impossible.

I don't know what to say. Where do I even start?

Honestly, the words "I don't know where to start" are a perfect first message. Or you can pick a topic from the chips at the top of the chat — relationships, work, anxiety, whatever — and just describe what's been sitting in your chest. You don't have to be organized. You don't have to make sense. We'll find the thread together.

You don't have to carry
tonight's weight alone.

Whatever brought you here — you're welcome exactly as you are. Take a breath. Start typing. We'll be here.
